Ludogorets Arena will be covered with new generation grass

The field of Ludogorets Arena stadium in Razgrad will be covered with the newest generation of turfs.

The field of Ludogorets Arena stadium in Razgrad will be covered with the newest generation of turfs. Starting September 1st, a team of the Ontario company from Sofia will lay the turfs, using a special equipment. The grass will be completely rooted and the field will be ready for use on September 14th, promised the executors. .

„The surface provides elasticity and dynamics, and it is resistant to multiple trainings and competitions. The strong protecting layer will cause less contusions to the players.”, explained the company manager Hristo Todorov. Provided that the surface is being properly exploited, he gives a 10 to 12-year guarantee.

The turfs are laid over a drainage, a heating system and a humus layer, providing a nurturing ambience for the grass surface. Grass turfs are manufactured in cooperation with the Greek company Ontario Sport Hella Sot, that is grassing stadiums in SAR. The company’s Bulgarian branch is maintaining the national stadium as well. After Madonna’s concert, the company managed to repair the surface in three days, for the match of Bulgaria against Montenegro.
