The team at PFC Ludogorets Razgrad, which has organized European club competition matches to a high standard for many years, has received significant recognition. A club representative, long-serving administrator Plamen Yordanov, was invited to join a UEFA working group discussing regulations for European club tournaments.

The forum was held in Leipzig and brought together representatives from major European clubs, including Liverpool FC, AS Roma, AS Monaco FC, FC Porto, Feyenoord, Besiktas JK, FC Red Bull Salzburg, FC Viktoria Plzen, Ferencvarosi TC, Real Betis, and Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

The meeting focused on several important topics, including:

  • UEFA's current regulations for European club competitions
  • Stadium safety and access-control procedures
  • Match organization and operational standards
  • Proposed changes for UEFA's regulatory cycle covering 2027–2030

During the discussions, Yordanov shared Ludogorets' experience in organizing European matches and raised several practical issues for consideration. One notable topic concerned the accommodation of visiting supporters holding Category 1 tickets in situations where there is a risk of crowd conflict within the stadium. UEFA participants agreed that this issue should receive careful attention when drafting the new regulations.

Ludogorets has participated continuously in UEFA competitions since 2012. During that period, the club has played 179 official matches across the qualifying rounds and main stages of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League.

Participants in the working-group meeting also attended the UEFA Conference League final between Crystal Palace FC and Rayo Vallecano, which Crystal Palace won 1–0 at the stadium in Leipzig.
