Ludogorets was brave but lost to Inter

Ludogorets showed strength but lost 1:2 to Inter at San Siro stadium, thus ‘the eagles’ are now out of the 1/16 finals of the Europa League.

Lukaku almost scored in the 5th minute but Iliev saved. Sanchez made another attempt to score but missed the gate. Cicinho passed the ball to Wanderson in the 12th minute but Padelli caught it.

VAR was used five minutes later in relation to a supposed offside situation but it was proven that there was no such situation. Alexis tried to score in the 2nd minute but Iliev saved again.

Ludogorets took the lead in the 26th minute after Cicinho passed the ball to Cauly. He was quicker than Godin and left no chance to Padelli. Sanchez’s goal attempt followed but it was an unsuccessful one. The VAR system was used again. It was supposed that Dyakov had fouled Moses but it was not true.

Inter scored in the 31st minute. Biragghi kicked the ball, it made a ricochet in Terziev’s body and entered the gate. Sanchez tried to score again later, but Iliev saved again. Ranocchia almost scored later, sending the ball near the gate.

Inter turned the tables in the added time of the first half. Sanchez passed to Lukaku who tried to score with his head. Iliev kicked it back, but it made a ricochet in the Belgian’s head and entered the gate.

Inter applied pressure in the second half. Sanchez hit the woodwork once, and Lukaku almost scored later but Iliev saved.

Ludogorets became more active. Wanderson tried to score but Padelli saved. Swierczok almost made the score even but the keeper saved again. Tchibota missed the gate in the 84th minute.
