Ludogorian hurricane swept Levski away

Ludogorets continued the set of victories in First Division, taking over one of the Bulgarian teams with most titles – Levski, at home.

Ludogorets continued the set of victories in First Division, taking over one of the Bulgarian teams with most titles – Levski, at home. First victory at the newly inaugurated stadium Ludogorets Arena took place in front of an audience of approximately 8000 people.
The players of Razgrad took the lead with a goal scored by Miroslav Ivanov in the 10th minute, and “the blues” made even by a score of Vladimir Gadzhev. The scorer Emil Gargorov finalized the result of the match with a winning shot in the 52nd minute. Ivaylo Petev’s boys could’ve won with a much more explicit result, but luck saved Levski from an utter defeat.
This way, the team of Ludogorets scored its 6th victory in a row from the very beginning of the championship, climbing to the first place in the First Division current rank.
“Ludogorets surprised us with their aggressive playing. That impeded our midfielders and defense. We had difficulties organizing our offense. I’m not contented with the match, nor with the players”, admitted after the match Levski’s manager Georgi Ivanov.
"It’s not nice to lose, but that’s not the worse – our playing was off. We weren’t playing good as a team. Some were even lazy. We let Ludogorets easily get the control over the ball, to gain advantage, said Gonzo after the loss of Levski with 1:2 against Ludogorets.
“What better start at Ludogorets Arena?”, said the coach of “the eagles” Ivaylo Petev. “Our goals remain the same – we play, so we could look better on the field every next game. I am happy that we won a victory over one of the best teams in Bulgaria today. It takes a lot of work, a lot of dedication and extreme discipline” said also Petev.
