The Ludogorets girls’ team kicks off their participation today in The International Sozopol Cup Tournament. This prestigious competition is a traditional event, and the young "Eaglets" are taking part for the first time. The team is made up of girls born in 2011, 2012, and 2013.

The strong tournament gathers eight teams from Bulgaria and Serbia. Competing teams include the girls’ squads of Ludogorets, Sliven, Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Lokomotiv Stara Zagora, Botev Plovdiv, Radnicki Pirot (from the Serbian town of the same name), Pirin Ladies from Blagoevgrad, and Barocco from Sofia. The winner will be determined after seven matches, played between June 25 and June 30, during which the finals, awards ceremony, and tournament closing will take place.

The Sozopol Cup international sports forum is held under the auspices of the Bulgarian Football Union, in support of the development of youth football.
