Ludogorets has sold Argentine defender Franco Russo to the Mexican club Queretaro. The team from the city of the same name exercised the option to purchase the player, who had previously been on loan with them. The 14-time Bulgarian champions will receive around €1,000,000, which includes both the transfer fee and the loan amount. Meanwhile, Queretaro has sold the defender to the Qatari club SC.
Russo was signed by Ludogorets in 2023 from Mallorca. During his time with the club, the Argentine played 38 matches and scored three goals across all competitions. He was then loaned out to Mexico’s Queretaro as well as Belgium’s Leuven.
