Ludogorets achieved a historic win in the UEFA Youth League

Ludogorets U19 achieved a historic win in the rematch again Slovan, part of the Youth League.

Ludogorets U19 achieved a historic win in the rematch again Slovan, part of the Youth League. The 1:0 win was important, as the game made the total score of both games even. However, the penalty kicks decided that Slovan will continue their participation in the tournament.

All could have been settled in the regular time because Ludogorets had total domination.

Yordanov tried to score with his head in the 7th minute but it went on top of Slovan’s gate. Hyuseinov tried to score in the 14th minute but he was blocked by a defender. Minkov sent the ball into Slovan’s net in the 31st minute. The keeper Rusanov managed to save a few situations.

Todor Zhivondov’s players played even better in the second half and Yordanov almost scored in the 53rd minute but the keeper saved. Hyuseinov was in a good position in the 61st minute but the goalkeeper saved again. Karaangelov kicked the ball from a far distance but the ball went near the gate.

The Slovakian team scored four goals after the regular time was over while Ludogorets missed two of the penalty kicks.

U19 team composition: Rusanov, Ganchev, Zhekov, Ruskov, Karaangelov (85 – Ganchev), Hyuseinov (88 – Petkov), Yordanov, Budinov, Naydenov (59 – Yanakiev), Minkov.
