Alex Santana: I joined Ludogorets to play in the Champions League

“I came here because I wanted to play in the Champions League. I want to be a contributive player and to give the best I can.

“I came here because I wanted to play in the Champions League. I want to be a contributive player and to give the best I can. This club is well-known in Brazil. Paulo Autuori said great things about the team while he was still my coach”. This is what the new player Alex Santana said during his introduction. The coach Pavel Vrba wished him a lot of success and gave him the #7 shirt.

“I have played in all positions in the middle of the pitch and I can still do it if the coach asks me to”, said the ex-Botafogo player.

“I like the #7 outfit. I don’t like to talk about myself and I hope you will see my strong points”, the midfielder added.

He also said that this transfer is a step forward for him and that he liked Barcelona a lot.

“We have high goals which why we attract good players. I hope Santana will help us this season”, said Pavel Vrba. “We promised to develop our defensive powers but we need players like Alex as well. We have many upcoming matches in Bulgaria and Europe and I hope we succeed in all of them. To do so, we need quality players”, Vrba added.

“You know that Ludogorets has many talented players but every team strives for greatness. We also aim to be a better team and we need new players to reach the next level”, the Czech professional concluded.
