The past year 2023 was more than successful for Ludogorets on the domestic scene. In the summer, the 12th title was won, which came complete with the Cup of Bulgaria. The national trophy became the possession of the Eagles after a 3:1 win over CSKA 1948 in the Vasil Levski final. This was the third double in the history of Ludogorets and the second for the then coach Ivaylo Petev.

In 2023 Ludogorets defeated its direct title rival CSKA-Sofia twice at its stadium with the match in the spring being decisive in the battle for gold.

In addition to the trophies, Ludogorets made two outgoing transfers of two of its leading players - the scorer Igor Thiago was sold to the Belgian Bruges, and Kiril Despodov went to Thessaloniki to strengthen PAOK.

In the championship, 4 wins were achieved with 5:0 each in 2023 - two over Botev Vr (one each as host and guest) and one each over Etar and Beroe.
