Another fake news written on the occasion of the seized drugs on the Verila ship affected PFC Ludogorets. "Journalists" in an attempt to find another sensation spread the information that one of the detained sailors is a fitness instructor at PFC Ludogorets. Even a basic check of the presented facts or a cursory look at the photo of the detained sailor Nikolay Penchev shows that there is no way that the person was a fitness instructor, let alone a champion. The real Nikola Penchev actually worked in the PFC gym and we are proud of his achievements and his European title. Currently, the champion works as a firefighter in London and takes care of his family. PFC Ludogorets and sports club Gladiator have a long-term partnership but the contract for joint activity expired more than six years ago.
The managements of PFC Ludogorets and Sports Club Gladiator warn that information damaging the prestige of the two clubs will not be tolerated and are subject to legal prosecution.
The first principle in journalism is to verify all news which was not done in this case. Another fake news has been circulated, which grossly damages the prestige of PFC Ludogorets, Sports Club Gladiator and a successful person like Nikolay Penchev.
We thank the media for not falling for this type of cheap sensationalism.
