The visitors took the lead through Sobrero in the 8th minute. He scored with a shot from the edge of the penalty area. Erick Marcus equalised in the 18th minute after a solo run and a powerful strike from 25 metres.

A disastrous defensive mistake gave CSKA 1948 the lead again in the 26th minute. Dinis Almeida reacted poorly inside the small penalty area, and Diallo scored easily. Before the break, Ludogorets found the net again through Erick Marcus, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
