Ludogorets coach Igor Jovicevic revealed his expectations ahead of the match with Lazio.
“We are ready, more than ready, for the match. We played a tough one against CSKA, but now our focus is on Lazio. We need to change the chip, as is the case for Lazio,” said Jovicevic. “The players don’t need any additional motivation, as this is a big day for them. They live for these days, these stadiums and this is a big challenge. We are motivated, but we also have a plan. We have to be the best version of ourselves if we want to win. We have to think about this mix and make this possible. Will it be difficult? Yes. But these moments are an opportunity for us to take new steps in our lives,” Jovicevic added.
“Of course, when part of the team is missing, it’s hard. Piotrowski is with us. We miss him, Nedyalkov and Tekpetey. We miss Tekpetey's 9 goals and 15 assists, Kuba's 16 goals and 17 assists and Nedyalkov's defensive performance. We are like a family and every training session we try to be a better version of ourselves. Kuba is still absent, but Nedyalkov and Bernard are also missing. Kuba is with us now, he is preparing well and will be in the game soon,” he added.
Ludogorets player Pedro Naressi expressed confidence before the match with Lazio. “There is great motivation in the team. They have not lost a match so far, which motivates us even more. We had many chances to score early goals and the matches so far to develop in a different way. We can surprise everyone and leave with the three points, which are the most important,” Naressi said.
