Ludogorets failed to become champion for the 13th time on April 28, drawing a surprising 3:3 with Krumovgrad in Razgrad. The guests led 2:0 at the break after goals from Alex Kolev and Serkan Yusein. At the beginning of the second half, the Eagles played very strongly and quickly got to 2:2, and then to a reversal - 3:2, before the captain Anton Nedyalkov scored an own goal in the last seconds for the final 3:3.
Georgi Dermendzhiev opted for an extremely attacking line-up, in which both Kwadwo Duah and Rwan Cruz started. With the captain's armband, the team again led Anton Nedyalkov, who returned to the game a few days ago.
The first more interesting situation in the match came in the 9th minute. Then Bernard Tekpetey saw the empty space and tried a shot from a distance, but Yanko Georgiev was careful and after the resulting ricochet managed to catch the ball. Just three minutes later, Serkan Yusein did a wonderful job on the flank and found Alexander Kolev in a clear position in the opponent's penalty area, and the latter made no mistake, managing to checkmate Padt with a good finishing shot - 1:0 for Krumovgrad. Ludogorets could have equalized in the 26th minute when Son made a good cross to Jakub Piotrowski, who missed the target. Immediately after that, Krumovgrad scored a second goal. It was the work of Serkan Yousein and was initially disallowed, but after the intervention of the VAR, the goal was accepted. Otherwise, Alex Kolev escaped from the defense of Ludogorets and tried a pass to Serkan Yusein. After a ricochet, Diego Raposo played with the ball and it reached Serkan, who made no mistake from the air - 2:0. The hosts could have reduced the score in the 36th minute, when Dinis Almeida headed the goal, but Yanko Georgiev intervened decisively. Ludogorets could have gotten back into the game in the 41st minute when the home team mounted a dangerous counterattack. Rick Jhonathan passed to Rwan and he put Bernard Tekpetey in an excellent position, but the Ghanaian shot wide. Two minutes later, Pedro Naressi could have scored a very nice own goal. In the sixth minute of the added time of the first part, Tekpetey was searched with a pass behind the back of the Krumovgrad defense, but Yanko Georgiev came out and, despite not being able to play well with his head, prevented a goal in his own goal. Rouen then shoots but misses the target.
The second half started with another shot by Tekpetey, but he was also out. The champions reduced in the 49th minute. Pedro Naressi broke through the center and found Rick very well, who escaped from the defense and elegantly reduced it with his left foot - 1:2. In the 55th minute, Ludogorets received a penalty. Rick broke through again and was brought down in the box by his compatriot Patrick Luan. Behind the ball stood Olivier Verdon, who didn't do very well, but the ball went under the dive of Yanko Georgiev, who caught the corner. Krumovgrad responded to the cold shower with a nice shot by Momchil Tsvetanov, which was deflected by Sergio Padt. In the 64th minute, Son found Kwadwo Duah well in the penalty area, but the Swiss's shot went over the goal. Ten minutes later, Ludogorets made a complete turnaround. Rick crossed from the left, Klyder Machedo made a fatal mistake, made it difficult for his goalkeeper Yanko Georgiev, who shot straight at the feet of Rwan, who could not make a mistake - 3:2 for Ludogorets. This was followed by Tekpetey's shot under the crossbar, which was beaten by Yanko Georgiev. However, the drama was yet to come. It was the 89th minute when Krumovgrad took a touch, and on the flank Oktay Yusein got it, who before the off-line tried to return the ball to the penalty, but Anton Nedyalkov stretched out his leg and, unfortunately for him, directed it into his own goal, as Padt failed to react and just watch the ball enter his goal - 3:3. In the extra time, Ludogorets pressed, but could not get another goal.
