Bulgarian Cup holders Ludogorets recorded an emphatic win before the decisive visit to CSKA this Sunday. The Eagles beat Loko Plovdiv 4-0 with three of the goals coming from substitutes Rick, Rwan and Tissera. The first goal was realized by Caio Vidal. The visitors played with a man less than half an hour after Jorge Segura received a second yellow card.
The coach of the Eagles Georgi Dermendzhiev bet on a large part of his starters, including Piotrowski, Tekpetey, Verdon and Gonsalves. Only Noah Sonko Sundberg and Anton Nedyalkov got a break. Young Damyan Hristov was again at the door and Plamen Pepelyashev was on the bench.
The match started with a great situation for Ludogorets. Kwadwo Duah brought on Caio Vidal alone against the goalkeeper. He preferred to pass rather than complete the attack himself and his pass to Bernard Tekpetey was blocked by a Smurfs player.
In the 11th minute Ludogorets took the lead. Claude Gonsalves played a masterful pass to Bernard Tekpetey, who broke free from Loko Pd's defense and came out alone against Dinko Horkas. The Ghanaian preferred to pass and released the ball to his left, where Vidal was. This time he shoots and sends the ball into the lower right corner of the visitors' goal - 1:0 for Ludogorets! In the 42nd minute, Kwadwo Duah tried to cross Horkas with a shot from distance, but the Croatian was careful and managed.
Already in the 58th minute Loko Plovdiv was one man short. A second yellow card was given to Jorge Segura, who fouled Kwadwo Duah. Just a few minutes later, Tekpetey fired hard with his left foot, but Horkas managed to clear. With a man less, the guests had problems and in the 68th minute Tekpetey found Aslack Von Witry, who from a clear position wondered whether to shoot or pass and thus did not create a real goal threat. In the 73rd minute Franco Russo made a big miss in an empty net with a header. It was over in 2 minutes. Then the reserve Rick Jhonathan scored a famous goal with a shot from about 25 meters, leaving no chance for Dinko Horkas - 2:0.
In the 82nd minute, Rick Jhonathan was left all alone against the Loko goalkeeper, but was unable to overcome him. Three minutes later, Kwadwo Duah gave a magnificent pass to the reserve Rwan, who could not make a mistake - 3:0. In the 94th minute the time came for Matias Tissera, who appeared on the field just seconds before. He received a pass from the right from Son and left Horkas no chance with his right foot, making the final score 4:0.
