Athens met Ludogorets with unbearable heat. The team arrive in Greece at noon and was accommodated at the Marriott hotel, near the stadium where the champions will stand against Olympiacos tomorrow.
The team flew to Greece with a European Charter flight. They will return on Wednesday noon.
The coach of Ludogorets, Valdas Dambrauskas, spoke at a press conference.
“I expect a positive outcome of this match. The team will be balanced and we will not go into an attacking mode for nothing. We will play rational and see how the competitor behaves”.
“We need to perform as usual. It will not be an easy match but we want to win and we will do what it takes”.
“We don’t need additional motivation. Every player must be focused. Olympiacos has quality players and we will see how we compare to them tomorrow”, the coach concluded.
Pieros Sotiriou took part in today’s press conference.
“I expect the competitor to try and score as soon as possible but we will follow the coach’s advice. I know the team and what is happening in Greece. I also know the fans. I expect us to win and to qualify for the next round. Both teams have rich history”, said the player.
Ludogorets trained at the Karaiskakis Stadium before the Champions League match tonight.
The practice session lasted for a full hour and all 23 players took part in it.
