Ludogorets and Shakhtar played an action-packed match that ended with a 2:2 score. The opponents have two past wins over Real Madrid and a couple of even scores against Inter. Still, Dambrauskas’ players had the chance to defeat the competitors.
The Ukrainians took the lead in the 4th minute and showed class. Salomon kicked the ball and it went into Iliev’s net after it ricocheted in Sa’s body. Keseru passed to Nedyalkov in the 13th minute and he scored but the goal was cancelled due to an offside situation. Tekpetey sent the ball above the crossbar seconds later. He passed the ball to Keseru in the 20th minute and the Romanian failed to create a situation. Despodov passed to Tekpetey in the 39th minute and he outplayed Hocolava but the gatekeeper caught the ball. Despodov tried to score again in the end of the first half but the keeper kicked the ball out.
The ex-CSKA star player Moraes joined Shakhtar in the second half. Tekpetey sent the ball above the crossbar again in the 53rd minute. Fernando sent it out seconds later. In the 55th minute, Shakhtar added a second goal in the 55th minute when Konoplyanka scored. Ludogorets did not give up and scored a goal within a couple of minutes. Cicinho passed to Ikoko who scored easily after sending the ball between the gatekeeper’s legs.
The champions evened the score after the 60th minute. Mitkov passed to Cauly who added the second goal for his team. Despodov almost scored a winning goal seconds later on two occasions but Trubin did his job both times. Moraes made an attempt to score but Renan intervened. Anicet and Shakhtar’s captain engaged in a feud but Dyakov stepped in.
The two teams achieved an even score in their previous match in 2019. Ludogorets will stand against Dinamo Kyiv on January 30th.
