The Danish champion Midtjylland defeated Ludogorets, therefore the latter will continue their participation in the UEFA Europa League instead of the Champions League.
The coach of Ludogorets – Pavel Vrba – decided to choose the 4-2-3-1 composition instead of the 4-3-3. Keseru was in charge of the attack. Brian Priske, the coach of Midtjylland, included Kraev in his composition. He created the first goal situation but received a yellow card after fouling Grigore. Svyatchenko tried to score after that but Renan saved. The Danish team performed better and Mabil tried to score minutes later but missed the gate. He did the same in the 32nd minute but Renan did his job then. Moti tried to score after that but Hansen was not intimidated by the goal attempt. Kaba’s attempt at the end of the first half was inaccurate as well.
Mabil sent the ball above the crossbar when the second half began. Renan was out of his place in the 51st minute when Kaba tried to score but he missed again. Kraev did the same seconds later. Higinio entered the pitch followed by Tekpetey. Ludogorets created their best goal situation in the 64th minute. Cauly kicked the ball hard and Paulinho played with his hand but no penalty kick followed. Cauly tried to score again six minutes later but he didn’t play it out good.
Badji sent the ball out a couple of minutes later. Renan saved Brumado’s goal attempt in the 77th minute. Brumado took advantage of the following shuffle and scored. There were some doubts about a foul but the goal was registered. Renan saved another goal attempt after that.
