Ludogorets did not start the season in the best possible way, because the game against Beroe ended with an even 0:0 score. The champions missed a few situations. Renan was guarding the gate – he replaced Iliev who is injured. Naumov took Broun’s place. Terziev replaced Moti and Forster came out taking Grigore’s place.
The home team began playing at a fast pace but the guest team created the first situation. Brigido sent the ball to the center and Forster made a mistake, enabling Kamburov to get to the ball. He tried to score but Renan saved. Marcelinho attacked but he was not accurate. Cicinho also tried to score in the 30th minute but Pernis saved. Keseru scored eight minutes after that but the goal was cancelled due to the fact Wanderson was in an offside situation when he passed to the Romanian. Lukoki almost scored with his head after that, but he was not accurate enough.
The guest team had a chance to score as soon as the second half started. Tsvetkov received the ball after a corner and tried to score but Renan showed his skills. Pernis saved Keseru’s goal attempt in the 51st minute and Bandalovski also interrupted a goal situation. Marcelinho wasted the best situation in the game six minutes later. He was alone against the keeper and Wanderson was nearby, but he went for it and the keeper saved. Later Lukoki sneaked the ball between Pernis’ legs but it went out. Popa passed to Anicet in the 77th minute and he tried to score but the keeper kicked it out. Keseru sent the ball out once again in the 90th minute. He demanded a penalty shot after he and Alcan made contact and the referee Valkov refused.
