Ludogorets is now on top of the overall First league rating after defeating Levski in the most action-packed game since the beginning of the season.
The first goal situation happened as early as the fourth minute of the game. Natanael tried to score but the keeper was barely able to kick it back into a corner. A few minutes later the keeper failed to clear out the ball. Tiam lost control over it and Marcelinho and Keseru organized an attack, but the Romanian sent the ball over the crossbar. The home team continued to apply pressure. Levski created their first goal situation in the 15th minute when Cvetkovic passed to Kostov, who tried to score with his head but failed to do so. The Serbian player was really close to receiving a red card prior to that situation for fouling Natanael.
Kostov had another chance to score in the 25th minute but failed again. Polacek got in control of the ball after Marcelinho kicked it. Lukoki tried to steal it but he was in an offside situation, which was the reason the referee decided to cancel Campanharo’s goal which was the result of the situation. The keeper Polacek was not able to save when Natanael passed low to Lukoki and he sent it directly into Levski’s gate. The wing-back sent a powerful shot in the upper left gate corner in the 41st minute, but the keeper was saved by the woodwork. Levski had the chance to make the score even three minute later, but Renan was flexible enough and saved Mariani’s attempt after Cvetkovic passed to him.
Ludogorets increased their advance during the added time of the first half. Tiam made a mistake in the center, after which Keseru passed to Wanderson and the Brazilian kicked the ball precisely which resulted in his 8th goal against Levski since his arrival in Bulgaria.
Ludogorets was close to a third goal in the very beginning of the second part, but after the good attack Keseru sent the ball above the crossbar. The home team continued to apply pressure on their opponents. Natanael was really determined. However, Levski scored out of nowhere. Goranov passed to Mariani, but it went to Obertan. The player passed to Tiam and he compensated his earlier mistake by assisting Kostov now. Stojanovic had already decided to replace Belmont with Reis and this also gave a boost to Levski along with the goal they scored.
Levski obviously picked up some pace and they were able to create three goal situations in the first fifteen minutes. Cabral tried to kick the ball with his heel but Nedyalkov paid attention and blocked his attempt. Cabral tried again immediately after that but Renan saved. Tiam had the chance to score from a good position, but missed the ball after Kostov created a good attack.
Reis started a new attack in the 63rd minute after Cabral passed to Obertan. As e result the ball went straight into the left gate beam, but the following ricochet sent it out. Keseru wanted to be replaced and Paulo took his place. Renan had to intervene again after Reis organized another attack when Cabral passed the ball from the right side. Cicinho attempted to clear the ball out and was able to sneak it just in time before Kostov could take control over it.
