The young "Eagles" of Ludogorets secured third place in The "VIVACOM CUP" International Youth Football Tournament. They achieved three wins out of four matches against renowned European academies—each one a national champion—finishing ahead of Benfica (Portugal), Fenerbahce (Turkyie), FCSB (Romania), and Odil Akhmedov Academy (Uzbekistan).
Their final sprint came in a match for third place against the Greek contenders from PAOK. In the vibrant atmosphere at the “Eagles' Nest” complex, Trifon Panev’s boys secured victory in the first half, defeating their peers with a 2:1 scoreline. Both goals for Ludogorets came before halftime, while PAOK’s only goal was scored three minutes before the final whistle.
Ludogorets' tally after the four-day tournament stands at three wins and just one defeat. The youth team made a strong statement right from the start with a dominant 5:0 victory over Odil Akhmedov Academy (Uzbekistan). They followed up with a convincing win over Fenerbahce (Turkyie) and suffered only a narrow loss to Partizan (Serbia).
PAOK's youth team had a shaky start to the tournament, recording a draw in their opening match against Benfica (Portugal), followed by a 2:1 win over FCSB (Romania).
