The boys from the Odil Akhmedov Academy finished last in The "VIVACOM CUP" International Youth Football Tournament. They placed eighth after a 2:3 defeat in their final match against FCSB (Romania), which determined the seventh and eighth positions in the standings.
Odil Akhmedov’s participation in the strong competition did not get off to a good start, as they suffered a heavy 0:5 loss to the youth team of Ludogorets in their opening match. They then faced another defeat, this time 0:1 against Partizan (Serbia). Against the champions from Fenerbahce (Turkyie), they managed to secure a 1:1 draw.
FCSB’s youth team also recorded two losses and one draw in their previous matches. They narrowly lost 1:2 to their peers from PAOK (Greece), then fell 0:2 to Dinamo (Tbilisi), and ended in a goal-filled 3:3 draw with the champions from Benfica (Portugal).
