Warm applause filled the “Eagles’ Nest” complex for the start of the eighth edition of The International Youth Football Tournament “Vivacom Cup.” Guests — champions from eight different countries — were greeted with warm hospitality as they prepare to battle it out on the pitch in the coming days, with the ultimate goal of crowning the most deserving team.

Football passion will run high, fueled by the participation of some of the strongest youth teams in Europe. Competing in the “Vivacom Cup” are Benfica (Portugal), Fenerbahce (Turkyie), PAOK (Greece), Partizan (Serbia), FCSB (Romania), Dinamo (Georgia), Odil Akhmedov (Uzbekistan), and the talented youth squad of Ludogorets.

The official kickoff of the tournament was honored by the CEO of the 14-time Bulgarian champions, Angel Petrichev, The Technical Director of PFC Ludogorets, Cosmin Moti, The Chairman of the Bulgarian Football Union’s regional council in Razgrad, Dincher Karov, The Director of the Ludogorets Academy, Radoslav Komitov, and The Mayor of Razgrad, Dobrin Dobrev. In his welcome speech to the young football talents, Angel Petrichev called for fierce competition until the end, where fair play should reign supreme. The hosts received congratulations from the mayor for organizing yet another strong youth tournament, proving once again that the best football takes place in the jewel of the Ludogorie region.

The young football champions carried away valuable memories from their first moments at the club’s base, capturing the occasion with Ludogorets’ mascot — the eagle Fortuna. The festive event is part of the initiatives marking the 80th anniversary of PFC Ludogorets.

The on-field competition began earlier today with matches between Ludogorets and Odil Akhmedov (5-0), and Fenerbahce vs. Partizan (0-2). The tournament schedule for the rest of the day continues with clashes between PAOK vs. Benfica and FCSB vs. Dinamo (Tbilisi).
