The youth players of the Elite Ludogorets U17 team, Ilian Gatinski and Maxim Minkov, delivered excellent performances and proved the trust placed in them by the coach of the Youth National Team. The two young "Eagles" made a splash with their key contribution to the victory of the Bulgarian U17 team, defeating their Maltese counterparts 3-0.

Gatinski and Minkov received call-ups to join The National squad for the European qualifiers in Malta. The clash against the hosts was the first in a series of matches that gave a strong boost to The Young "Tricolours." The two Ludogorets youth players started the match as starters and played a full 75 minutes. Throughout the game, they displayed their "eagle" character, which elevated their skills to a high football level. Thanks to the expertise they gained at Ludogorets Academy, they played a significant role in the final success against Malta. Ilian Gatinski expertly delivered the cross that found his teammate for the opening goal in the 17th minute. Maxim Minkov scored the second goal in the 37th minute, calmly converting after skillfully escaping the Maltese defense. Gatinski and Minkov had further chances to score as more goal-scoring opportunities presented themselves.

During the qualifiers, the Bulgarian U17 National Team will play two more matches. On April 13th, at 15:30 Bulgarian time, the young Bulgarian players will face the Faroe Islands. In the final match, they will meet Luxembourg on April 16th, also at 15:30.
