Two youngsters from the Ludogorets Academy brought win to the Bulgarian U16 national team against their peers from Serbia. Yastiyan Georgiev and Nikolay Popov from the Elite team of the Eagles under 16 scored for the "tricolors" success with 2:0
Both goals were scored in the first half. Yastiyan Georgiev gave the little lions the lead in the 12th minute. He scored a beautiful goal after threading the ball into the Serbian net with a shot from distance. His teammate Nikolay Popov doubled the lead for Bulgaria U16 at the end of the first half, bringing the final success to the youth national team.
Timur Mustafa, who also trains under the mentorship of Milen Marinov at the Academy of the 13-time native champion, also appeared on the field from the first minute of the match. With the national jersey, Timur also showed the high level that the people of Razgrad are betting on when mastering football skills from young talents.
The demonstrated football skills of the young Eagles are proof of the trust they have been given to represent Bulgaria and once again show the enviable success that the experienced specialists in the "nest" of the Eagles achieve with the football talents entrusted to them.
The match against the Serbian U16 team was the first of two scheduled during a training camp at the National Football Base Boyana from November 23 to 28. A total of five players from the Ludogorets Elite team received a call-up to participate with the youth national team - defender Timur Mustafa, midfielders Nikolay Popov and Yastiyan Georgiev, full-back Preslav Stoykov and goalkeeper Alexander Panayotov. During the camp, the guard suffered an injury, which forced him to leave and receive treatment in Razgrad.
On November 28, the second test of the youth national team against their peers from Serbia will be played.
