Ludogorets made the fourth incoming transfer this summer. The 13-time champions have signed Guinean attacking midfielder Aguibou Camara, who was owned by Greek giants Olympiacos. The management of the Eagles and that of the champion in the Conference League successfully finalized the negotiations on the deal, and in the meantime Camara arrived in Bulgaria. The African has successfully passed the medical and fitness tests and has already joined his new team.
"I am happy with this transfer. It is a big step forward in my career. Ludogorets is a name in Europe and I am happy that I am now part of the team," said Camara, who will be officially presented in the coming days.
An interesting fact from Aguibu's career is that he scored the equalizer for Olympiacos against Ludogorets in the first leg of the 2021 Champions League III preliminary round as the Eagles drew 1-1 at Karaiskakis and subsequently eliminated the giants from Pyrea.
Aguibou Camara is a teenager at French side Lille, from where he was bought by Olympiacos in 2021. The midfielder had a strong season in the red and white shirt, but was loaned out to another elite Greek club, Atromitos. Camara has played 35 games with 5 goals for a year and a half with the Peristeri team. Aguibu is also a Guinean international, for whom he has made 30 appearances and scored 6 goals.
Aguibu is the fourth new addition to Ludogorets. Previously, the German goalkeeper Hendrik Bonmann and the national team of Sweden and Cape Verde Edvin Kurtulus and Deroy Duarte were brought to the team.
