Ludogorets easily beat Etar - 4:0, with all goals falling in the first half. The success allowed the champions to enter the Top 3 with a game in hand which, if taken, would see the team go first.
Georgi Dermendzhiev made only two changes to his team than the team that beat Fenerbahce 2:0. Reserves were Pedro Naressi and Caio Vidal, and Todor Nedelev and Rick Jhonathan came in their places.
The champions started with focus and took the lead in the 3rd minute. Jakub Piotrowski crossed to the right for Aslak Von Witry, who found Kwadwo Duah and he effortlessly sent the ball into the net for Martin Velichkov. Ten minutes later, Tekpetey could have scored a second goal, but his powerful shot missed the target.
In the 32nd minute, Ludogorets led 2:0. A great goal from a free kick was scored by Todor Nedelev. It was his first goal for the Eagles this season. The champions were very close to a third goal, but Todor Nedelev's shot hit the post. In the 37th minute, Jakub Piotrowski put an end to the dispute with his on-duty goal. He received a pass from Anton Nedyalkov and masterfully sent the ball into the net of Martin Velichkov. Seconds later, Duah could have scored his second of the game, but missed an extremely clear chance.
In the 41st minute, Etar had nothing to save. Bernard Tekpetey made a great break through the middle of the field and, left alone against Martin Velichkov, could not make a mistake.
At the break, Svetoslav Petrov made a triple substitution and it had some effect, as his team played better. Martin Moran tried the Servant's reflex, but he saved. In the 61st minute Rick came close to putting his name on the goalscoring list but missed the target. Seconds later, Sonko Sundberg, who has been nursing an injury for the past more than two weeks, returned to action for the champions. It was expected that the former defender of Levski would be out until the end of the year, but here he recovered much faster.
In the 69th minute, Etar was one man short. Luis Cordova received a second yellow card and a red card respectively. By the end, Ludogorets could have scored more.
