Ludogorets won 2:1 away from Cherno more in the first semi-final of the Bulgarian Cup, played at "Ticha" stadium in Varna. Thus, the Eagles took advantage before the rematch on May 11th in Razgrad. "Sailors" took the lead through Alex Fernandez, but by the end of the first half, the turnaround was a fact after the goals of Gustavo Nonato and Igor Plastun. Varna players finished the match with 10 men after Stefan Velev received a red card in the 83rd minute.

Quite expectedly, Ivaylo Petev made a bunch of changes in view of the derby with CSKA on Sunday. Of the starters, only backs Aslack von Witry and Pipa Avila, midfielder Jakub Piotrowski and winger Kiril Despodov actually played. Sergio Padt, Olivier Verdon, Pedro Naressi, Bernard Tekpetey, Spas Delev and Igor Thiago were rested.

Already in the 2nd minute, Gustavo Nonato had an opportunity to shoot on the ground, but his shot did not find Ivan Dyulgerov. The home team responded with a shot to Pacheco, which went out. Ludogorets got to a very clear position in the 10th minute. Gustavo Nonato elegantly dug behind the defense to Kiril Despodov. He masterfully shot from a difficult situation, but Dyulgerov saved.

Cherno more took the lead in the 14th minute. Then Edgar Pacheco elegantly returned with a heel for Alexander Vasilev. The former Ludogorets player shot with his left foot, goalkeeper Simon Sluga did not intervene well and the ball ended up in Alex Fernandez, who could not make a mistake - 1:0. The answer of Ludogorets was not late and in the 18th minute Gustavo Nonato fell into the arms of his teammates. Piotrowski made a wonderful pass for the uncovered Kiril Despodov, he feinted Viktor Popov and shot, Ivan Dyulgerov saved, but Gustavo Nonato's left foot did not make a mistake in the addition - 1:1.

Ludogorets made a complete turnaround in the 34th minute. After a cross from a foul by Kiril Despodov, Igor Plastun left no chances for Ivan Dyulgerov with his foot.

In the 57th minute, Kiril Despodov shot from a free kick, but Ivan Dyulgerov saved. Matias Tissera then called for a penalty for a handball on Alexander Vasilev, but it was not called.

In the 76th minute, Cherno more reserve Mishael shot acrobatically, but over the goal. In the next attack, the referees in VAR bus again looked at a controversial situation - for a possible penalty for the "Sailors". However, such was not given because of an offside.

In the 83rd minute, the hosts were left with a man less, after Stefan Velev received a direct red card. He went rough into Caio Vidal's ankle. Initially, Volen Chinkov gave a yellow card to the former player of Levski, but then he saw the situation on the VAR monitor and changed his decision, leaving Varna with 10 men.
