The legendary midfielder of Ludogorets Svetoslav Dyakov is returning to the club. The hearty midfielder, who captained the eleven-time champions for 8 years, joins Ante Simundza's team as an assistant coach. Dyakov left the "Eagles" in 2021 to return to his native Pirin, where he finished his career as a football player and was also a technical director for a short time. With Ludogorets team, Svetoslav Dyakov has 351 official matches in all tournaments, having scored 11 goals and is a ten-time champion.
"I am happy that I am returning to my place among people who know and respect me," said Dyakov. "At the moment, the team has many young players with huge potential, which was seen in the matches of the European club tournaments this season. I am convinced that these boys will show even a stronger game and please the fans with defeats in Europe and Bulgaria", commented Dyakov.
He will be officially introduced to his new position at a press conference in Razgrad, which will be held on January 7th, 2023.
Brazilian Rafael Ferreira is leaving Ante Simundza's team. He came to Ludogorets in 2018 as an analyst in the team of then coach Paulo Autuori. Ferreira subsequently rose to the position of assistant coach.
