Dambrauskas: The first match result is not a guarantee for anything

Ludogorets’ coach spoke at a press conference prior to tomorrow’s rematch.

Ludogorets’ coach spoke at a press conference prior to tomorrow’s rematch. “We need to have complete control throughout the match. We need to show the improvement we have been working for”, said the coach.

“The absence of the rule of the goal on a home team’s field levels the odds. We play the same as a guest and as a home team. What matters is to show what we can do best”.

“The result of the first match is not a solid foundation. If they are lucky, they can win now. We need to be confident and not defend our results so far. We know the competitor’s weaknesses. They used a slightly different tactic and player composition than we expected the first time. We now need a flexible plan. We gained strength minute after minute in the first match. We need to start even better tomorrow. We need to be ready for whatever comes our way, and no match is won in the first fifteen minutes.”

“We change tactics a few times a match. You can see that we do it several times according to how the match develops. We must use our advantages and we work hard to filter our assets and use them in our favor”, the coach concluded.
