Ludogorets lost the Bulgarian Cup rematch against CSKA

Ludogorets lost 1:2 to CSKA in the rematch for the Bulgarian Cup. With a total 2:3 score after two matches, the champions are out of the tournament.

CSKA took the lead in the third minute when Rafael was able to overthrow Kahlina. Koch outplayed Santana four minutes later but he ended up sending the ball above the crossbar. Despodov tried to surprise Busatto in the 13^th minute but the keeper did his job. Rodriguez demanded to be replaced in the 21^st minute due to an injury. He almost scored while waiting for Varela to warm up but Kahlina saved like a pro. Anicet felt something was wrong and Yankov replaced him.

CSKA made another step towards success in the 36^th minute. Varela outplayed Grigore and passed the ball to Rafael who redirected it to Yomov. The result was a second goal for CSKA.

Dambrauskas tried to surprise CSKA’s coach Penev and switched to a 3-4-3 composition. Yomov almost scored in the 55^th minute but Kahlina saved again. Wanderson passed the ball to Despodov later but he was not able to score. Despodov tried to score once again from the foul point but he hit the woodwork. Nedyalkov also tried to score but Busatto saved once again. Despodov and Varela both missed a chance to score in the following minutes.

Ludogorets added a goal in the 73^rd minute. Wanderson passed the ball to Many who scored with his left foot. There were no other goals scored. Unfortunately, Santana fouled Mitkov for which he received a red card. Turitsov left the pitch because of the second yellow card he received. The referee Kabakov gave a red card to the coach Penev as well.
