Ludogorets finalized the latest player transfer. The Bulgarian champions were chosen among several European clubs by Kiril Despodov from Calgary.

Ludogorets finalized the latest player transfer. The Bulgarian champions were chosen among several European clubs by Kiril Despodov from Calgary. The player will join Ludogorets for a year but the contract allows his full transfer after that. Despodov signed the paperwork on Monday and joined the national team of Bulgaria for their preparation for the upcoming matches with Hungary, Wales, and Finland. Despodov will join Ludogorets and will be introduced to the media immediately after those matches.

Despodov is born on November 11th, 1996, and began his career at Litex in 2011. He was part of CSKA between 2016 and 2019 before he was sold to Calgary. He was rented out to Sturm where he stepped on the pitch 21 times and scored nine goals. He has played in a total of 55 matches and scored 17 goals in total.

Despodov is the seventh new player who joined Ludogorets after Santana, Tekpetey, Marin, Manu, Verdon, and Sa.
