„Tomorrow’s game is the first important step in the long season ahead”, said Ludogorets’ coach, Pavel Vrba, during an online briefing event prior to the Bulgarian Supercup match vs Lokomotiv (Plovdiv).
„Wanderson’s injury will keep him out of the pitch for a long time but Keseru is back with us and Santana joined the team”, the Czech professional added.
Vrba is not concerned about the lack of enough training time between seasons.
“We tried to prepare as best as we can in the short time we had. We have a tight schedule for the next few months and we need to be in top shape”, the coach added.
He is certain that the game on Sunday will be much different than the match at the end of last season in which Ludogorets dominated with a 6:1 win.
“When we played vs Lokomotiv last month, they saved some of their players for the Supercup game but I believe we will be able to win”, concluded Vrba.
