Ludogorets introduced the new players Iliev and Popa, as well as the new keeper coach, the legendary Zdravko Zdravkov. Both player received their new outfits on Monday morning by the managing director Angel Petrichev. Their numbers are 23 and 77. The Romanian player joined the team for their training camp since its beginning while Iliev joined them on Sunday. ‘I came to a club with ambitious goals and I believe I can help the team to win the title again and to be successful in Europe again’, said Iliev. ‘I believe that such a transfer is beneficial for me and every player would be honored to join Ludogorets’, the keeper added.

‘I know Ludogorets not only from the games against Steaua in 2014. I have friends playing here. I believe that we will be able to enter the Champions League groups. Ludogorets is a popular name in Europe and I am happy to continue my career here’, said Popa, who became famous in Steaua, after which he played in Saudi Arabia and Redding.

‘I came to a place with very high standards’, said Zdravkov. ‘I believe that my contribution to the team will be notable in time. This team can achieve a lot more’, added the legendary keeper, who played at the 1998 World Championship in France, as well as the 2004 European Championship in Portugal.
