Ludogorets scored their first win during the camp in Austria. The champions defeated 2:1 Wacker Innsbruck. The Austrian team is a newcomer to elite football after winning the title in Second Bundesliga during the last season. The big star is the ex-Slovenian national team player Zlatko Dedic, who has been a part of Parma and has played at the Mondial in 2010.
The trial game was played at the ‘Jenbach’ stadium in Austria, where Ludogorets is currently staying to train. The new head manager of the team Paulo Autuori has taken over and decided to include the 17-year-old Dominik Yankov as a resident player.
The first dangerous situation was for the German team. Lukoki was faster than a Wacker defender in the sixth minute and passed to Keseru, who missed. Ludogorets eventually took the lead after applying pressure. Keseru scored with his right foot from the border of the penalty zone.
The German team had the chance to make the score even in the 24th minute, but Broun saved a kicky by Kerschbaum. Four minutes later Lukoki surpassed all the defenders from the other team, but the keeper saved his kick. Rakovish was close to scoring in the 42nd minute, but Broun intervened again. Seconds later the team from Razgrad organized a good attack, but there was no attempt to score after that.
‘The Eagles’ were close to a second gol in the 58th minute when Misidjan passed to Campanharo, but he sent the ball over the crossbar. Swierczok attempted a goal a little after that, but the keeper saved. However, Wacker received a second goal in the 66th minute, when Swierczok was able to outplay two defenders and passed to Joao Paulo, who scored with his left foot. The replacement keeper of the Austrian team was able to save Swierczok’s and Klimentov’s attempts right before the end of the match.
The home team was able to return a goal in the 88th minute, when Gabriele received a nice pass and Naumov was not able to save.
Bakalov played as a left back instead of his usual position as a wing back. The new recruit Grigore and Renan missed the game because of injuries.
