Ludogorets U19 achieved a massive 6:2 win over Dunav (Ruse) in Razgrad. The game is part of the 26th round of the Elite youth group up to 19 years of age. Mehmed’s performance was distinctive with his four goals.
Yuri Vasev’s boys pushed hard since the very beginning. In the first 30 minutes “The Eagles” missed a few situations, but in the 31st minute Mehmed scored the first goal and just five minutes later Toni Ivanov made the score 2:0. Mehmed added another goal in the 44th minute.
During the second half “The Eagles” were too relaxed about their goal advance and the team from Ruse took advantage of this – they scored two goals up to the 50th minute. Vasev’s players immediately reacted and started attacking vigorously. In the 68th minute Mehmed’s shot changed the score to 4:2. After that Toni Ivanov scored again in the 75th minute, and the final goal was again scored by Mehmed in the 87th minute, thus making the score 6:2.
“I am pleased with the players’ dedication and I salute them for the well-deserved and convincing win. I did not like their performance during the second half, though, and they should learn that there is no time for taking things easy, because it can come at a high price”, said Yuri Vasev.
