Ludogorets U17 performed better than one of the best football academies in the country – Septemvri (Sofia), but after a lot of misses the scored only one goal for the victory in the 74th minute, when Georgi Stoyanov was accurate enough. The game, part of the 26th round of the Elite youth group, was supposed to be a derby, but in reality there was only one noticeable team on the field – Ludogorets. After this valuable success Radoslav Komitov’s boys are sitting firmly on top of the overall rating with 10 points in advance of Cherno More. In the remaining 4 rounds all that  “The Eagles” need is one victory and they would preliminary win the title.

The game was typical for the talented Razgrad team’s performance. “The Eagles” showed complete supremacy throughout the game and were in control of the ball most of the time. They made fast combinations between them and created a lot of goal situations. During the first half Hyuseinov, Yankov and Kanchev almost scored, particularly Hyuseinov, whose situation was head on against the goalkeeper, but still he failed to send the ball in the gate.

During the second half Komitov’s players continued to create tension in front of Septemvri’s gate. Hyuseinov and Yankov missed a few times again. In the 74th minute Metodiev and Yankov played with the ball, and after a pass through the other team’s defense towards Stoyanov, he easily scored the winning goal.

”I am very pleased with the team’s performance, though we could have been more persuasive. There is no doubt that our players were far better – the other team had only one goal situation through the whole game time”, was Radoslav Komitov’s comment after the game.
