U19: Ludogorets - Botev (Plovdiv) 3:3

Ludogorets U19 missed the opportunity to win the game with Botev (Plovdiv), though “The Eagles” totally outplayed their competitor, hit the gate beam 4 times and missed a lot of goal situations, which led to the final 3:3 score. The game was a part of the 29th round of the Elite youth group tournament up to 19 years of age.

During the first half Yuri Vasev’s players had no trouble taking the lead and scored two goals – Martin Milkov in the 40th minute and Mehmed in the 45th. In the 57th minute Ivan Velikov unintentionally scored an own goal, thus adding a point for the visiting team. In the 70th minute again Martin Milkov added a goal, making the score 3:1. At the end of the game the visiting team managed to even the score after a lucky distance shot and an individual mistake made by Ludogorets’ defense, thus adding a point to their account from this game.

“Such games happen rarely. We played good and created a lot of goal situations, hit the gate beam four times and despite all that, we had to settle for an even score instead of winning with 7 or eight goals. But then again, this is football. I am convinced that by fall we will be a far better team and still not a single team outplayed us throughout the whole season”, said Yuri Vasev.
