Ludogorets coach Ivaylo Petev expressed his optimism before the rematch against Astana from the Europa League.
"The thing we need to improve is the ball game. We were sluggish there and made mistakes. The most important thing is to forget what was before and to focus. Let's show the spirit of winning and want it more than the opponent. We played well against CSKA, but the match is in history, we must forget it. A new match, a new challenge and the important thing is that we aim for success," Petev began.
The specialist revealed that the condition of Sergio Padt and Dominik Yankov and whether they will play against Astana will become clear at the afternoon training session.
"I don't think Astana will look any different. There has been a style built up there for many years. It is important how we will act and what we will do. I am confident that we can resolve everything in the regular time. Every day we pay attention to static defensive positions because we conceded a few goals that way. I hope that we will be perfect in this component and that there will be no gaps that we have had so far," said Petev.
"The main thing is persistence. A team like ours shouldn't go down in moments like we had in certain games. We play on a normal grass field. The fans will be behind us. Whether we will play with three or four, you will see tomorrow. We pay attention to every single weakness even when receiving cards. Where I see a mistake, we pay attention and we have to improve every game," Petev concluded.
