Ludogorets achieved a third consecutive victory under their new coach Per-Mathias Hogmo. After the 2:0 over Septemvri and 3:2 over Celta, the “Eagles” defeated Botev (Vratsa) 2:0 in a match in which they had complete dominance and missed the chance to record a far more convincing win.

Ivaylo Chochev opened the scoring in the 27th minute. He found the net after a cross into the penalty area, during which goalkeeper Evtimov dropped the ball, and after a shot by Dinis Almeida hit the post, the midfielder sent the ball into the net from close range. This was Chochev’s 10th goal of the current season in the efbet League, placing him at the top of the goalscorers' chart.

Kwadwo Duah, who came on as a substitute, made it 2:0 in the 71st minute. An excellent attack involving Son and Narey sent Petar Stanic into Botev’s penalty area. The Serbian found the Swiss forward perfectly, and with a precise shot he left Evtimov with no chance.

Until the end, Ludogorets continued to control the events on the pitch and did not allow any serious danger in front of goalkeeper Bonmann.

In the second half, Bernard Tekpetey appeared as a substitute for the champions. This was match number 200 for the winger in all competitions.
