Ludogorets qualified for the Europa League group phase for the fifth time

Ludogorets will continue ahead in UEFA Europa League after defeating 2:0 Dynamo Brest in Minsk.

Ludogorets will continue ahead in UEFA Europa League after defeating 2:0 Dynamo Brest in Minsk. “The Eagles” showed they were the better team. They managed to qualify in four previous seasons as well: 2013/14, 2017/18, 2018/19, and 2019/20.

The home team had an opportunity to take the lead in the 4th minute when Tweh kicked the ball but Iliev saved. The action was mostly in Dynamo’s part of the field during the first half. Cicinho passed to Yankov in the 32nd minute and eventually, Badji received the ball but his goal attempt was not successful. Santana also tried to score five minutes later but failed to do so. In the last few seconds, Tekpetey outran Kiki and almost scored but Ignatovic caught the ball.

Yankov tried to pass to Keseru as soon as the second half began but it didn’t happen. Bikov tried to score in the 53rd minute. Yankov eventually passed to Keseru seconds later and the following goal situation was saved by Ignatovic. Gordeychuk somehow managed to create a situation in the 65th minute but he sent the ball outside the gate. Khacheridi tried to score in the 70th minute and hit the woodwork. Iliev jumped and saved what was probably a goal.

Ludogorets took the lead in the 73rd minute after Keseru and Yankov eventually passed the ball to Manu who scored easily. Yankov passed to Manu in the 80th minute and the ball was sent to Marin later. He made no mistake and added a second goal. Ignatovic saved another goal attempt by Manu three minutes later.
