Ludogorets introduced their new head coach, Rui Mota. The Portuguese revealed what kind of team we can expect from the “Eagles” going forward.
“I’m sorry that I don’t yet know a few words in Bulgarian to introduce myself properly. I want to thank the club. We are coming here with ambition because this club has great ambitions. I believe we’ll be a good match, because both our mentality and that of Ludogorets is to be champions. We will always respect the jersey and the club’s emblem. Every time we take the field, it will be to win. I hope our work here will be long and filled with great success,” Mota said in his first words.
“I know it was a very successful season for Ludogorets — they won everything. But there is always room for improvement, and our goal is to achieve even more. The previous coach did a fantastic job, and our task is to build on that. Before coming here, I got familiar with the team. We know where we’ve come — this club wants to win every match and go as far as possible in Europe. That’s why I came. I want to take Ludogorets as far as possible,” Mota continued.
“We’ve watched several matches and we know the team. There are new players who still have to come in. The style of Ludogorets is exactly what we want — to dominate, to attack, and when we lose the ball, to win it back quickly without conceding goals,” added the Portuguese coach.
“One of our main motivations for coming here is that our ambitions align with those of Ludogorets. This is a step forward. The work we did at Noah, we aim to replicate here. These are different clubs, but our desire is the same. We are familiar with the Bulgarian league. So far, everything is going according to plan. There’s no difference in our motivation and drive. I just need to get to know the players and staff better,” Rui Mota concluded.
