The best Czech coach today – Pavel Vrba – will lead Ludogorets’ as the new year starts. The ex-Victoria Pilsen coach will arrive in Bulgaria alongside his assistant Zdenek Becka and the goalkeeper coach Martin Tichacek. The trio will be officially introduced in Sofia in the first few days of January. Stanislav Genchev will become Vrba’s assistant.

The club management and Vrba reached an agreement fast, but he was appointed mainly because he fully met Ludogorets’ strict requirements. His contract will be valid until the middle of 2022.

Pavel Vrba’s career is impressive. He has won four championship titles with the Czech team, as well the Czech Cup as the head of Victoria Pilsen. His team has been part of both Champions League and Europa League groups. Vrba has been awarded as the best Czech coach a whopping eight times.

He was ahead of Victoria Pilsen for the last time on Sunday, and the fans were really emotional when they had to tell him ‘goodbye’.

The management of Ludogorets would like to thank everyone at Victoria Pilsen for their professionalism and good will.
