Ludogorets U14 won the strong international tournament in Constanta. The talents of the Champions also won most of the individual prizes in the competition.
In the final, the Eagles won against Inter (Galaxy) 10:0. Viktor Ivanov scored two goals, and Cem Andonov, Nikolay Popov, Kaloyan Georgiev, Vasil Savatinov, Veselin Atanasov, Preslav Stoykov, Edi Donchev and Timur Mustafa scored once. Inter reached the trophy after knocking out Moldova's Zimbru in the semi-finals after a goalless draw in regular time and penalties.
Milen Marinov's boys did not give their opponents any chance. They have recorded five successes in five games, not conceding a single goal and scoring a total of 22 goals. In their preliminary group, the talents of the Champions won 4:0 Inter (Galaxy), 3:0 Academia Coscani from Moldova and again 3:0 the hosts from Farul Constanta (Academia Hadji). In the semi-final, the Eagles defeated the talents of the Romanian giant Dinamo (Bucharest) 2:0.
The strong performance of the Bulgarians brought them recognition in the individual awards as well. Cem Andonov was named as the best player of the tournament. Alexander Panayotov took the prize for the best goalkeeper. Nikolay Popov was chosen as the best striker. Yastiyan Georgiev's goal in the semi-final against Dinamo (Bucharest) was chosen as the most beautiful goal.
