Ludogorets officially introduced the new coach Ante Simundza and his assistants. Spas Delev was also introduced to the media representatives. The event at Rosslyn Dimyat Hotel in Varna was attended by the club’s managing director Angel Petrichev and the sports administration director Georgi Karamandzhukov.
“After the Championship League playoffs, we were focused entirely on solving our problems. Some said 2021 was not one of Ludogorets' successful years, but I beg to differ”, Petrichev said. “I thank the players and the rest of the club members. We are in the middle of a plethora of changes. We have new players that are eager to develop. They brought Ludogorets 13 million Euro, which is a good income for any club. We are also developing our marketing activities. The winter camp is coming, and we thank our owners for it and for the other conditions they provide us with. We hope the new coach will solve the remaining problems”, Petrichev added and thanked the club fans present in the hall.
“Good luck to Ante Simundza. His profile was offered to us a couple of years ago. He went far with Maribor and this is the level we aspire to reach – the Champions League. His work at Mura is also notable. He turned the team into a national champion”, Karamandzhukov added.
“I am happy to be here. We will work hard to become champions. My assistants will help us along the way. Zdravkov and Ferreira will remain as assistants as well. I can’t wait to meet to players. Ludogorets’ proposal was very exciting, and the players have different skills and capabilities. Some changes will be made and I hope the scouts will soon bring good news. I know that the Bulgarian championship is hard, but we will work hard with discipline and ambition”.
Spas Delev said: “I am thankful for my invitation to join. I never hesitated to say yes. I will give my best to help the team win the next title”.
