Ludogorets and CSKA-Sofia achieved an even 0:0 score in their first match this season in Razgrad. It was an intense game but Ludogorets had a bigger chance to win, not to mention that the referee Draganov refused to confirm an obvious penalty against Keseru.
The coach Stoev decided to put Terziev and Nedyalkov as the main defenders while Swierczok was the main attacker.
Both teams were eager to win and the guests had their first chance in the sixth minute but Sou was stopped by the defenders. Jorginho and Biton created a situation later, but the Israeli player sent the ball outside the woodwork. Both keepers saved a few situations after that. Tchibota almost fouled Jefferson on the penalty zone border and this was followed by three similar situations towards Ludogorets players, but only Rodriguez received a yellow card.
The home team coach Stoev replaced Swierczok with Keseru during the half time. CSKA created the first attack in the second half, but the keeper Iliev saved. Ludogorets responded and Keseru passed to Tchibota who unfortunately sent the ball above the crossbar. Tchibota tried to score again in the 56th minute but the keeper saved. Both teams continued attacking each other and one of the best ones was executed by Tchibota who had no luck again. Jorginho’s goal attempt in the 61st minute was saved. Nedyalkov tried to score in the 75th minute but he sent the ball outside the woodwork.
The home team applied more pressure on CSKA in the last few minutes but with no result. CSKA-Sofia pulled off a nice attack in the last minute but Iliev saved Rodriguez’s kick. This is how Ludogorets became the overall leader with 11 points after a total of games.
