The best Bulgarian football club – Ludogorets – won the eight consecutive championship title and is not after CSKA’s record for nine consecutive titles. ‘The Eagles’ defeated 4:1 Cherno More and this was enough to make them the new champions with one point in advance of the second team overall – CSKA-Sofia. Bakalov scored the first goal on Ludogorets Arena, after which Cherno More made the score even. Swierczok achieved an amazing hat trick which enabled his team to participate in the Champions League.
The new title continues the tradition which began after the 2011/12 season when the team won the first championship title. Ludogorets was the leader throughout the season this year but a few mistakes allow for CSKA-Sofia to catch up dangerously close and they hoped for the best considering their position. The last round was crucial but Ludogorets left no chances to the others and showed what a high class football club is like.
