Ludogorets had their official practice session in Nicosia prior to the game against AEK. The new coach Antoni Zdravkov and the players began the one-hour practice session at 8:00 p.m. yesterday. Zdravkov and Marcelinho attended a press-conference half an hour earlier.
‘Both teams will face difficulties in this game. We hope we win’, was Zdravkov’s first comment. ‘We know where we make mistakes which resulted in lot of goals in our gate. I think that it all comes down to lack of concentration at the moment. This is not the final game for us, but it is important for us to win in order for us to have a chance to move on. No coach could change anything in just a couple of days, which is why I will not make any major changes. AEK has good players. Marcelinho believes that they are the second best team after Leverkusen but this does not mean that they are better than us’, Zdravkov added.
‘We watched AEK and we know their strong sides. They are a serious team, probably the second strongest after Leverkusen. We need to show our best in order to win tomorrow. This is what’s important now, after the game we will think about the other things’, said Marcelinho.
