In response to the call from the Bulgarian Football Union to fight racism and following the increased cases of racial hatred: We, the players, coaches, and staff of PFC Ludogorets, categorically join this appeal and declare that we will make every effort to combat this criminal phenomenon.
At the "Huvepharma Arena," hate speech, as well as racist and ethnically motivated insults, are not tolerated. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their religious, ethnic, or political affiliation. We believe that players of different skin colors, just like all others, defend the Ludogorets jersey, earn their livelihood with dignity, and delight us with their performances on the field.
In this regard, before each match at the "Huvepharma Arena," we will remind our spectators that we are against racism and the spreading of ethnic hatred. We will educate our academy talents against this monstrous phenomenon in society. We are convinced that children are not born racists; society makes them so.
We call on all officials involved in organizing matches in the efbet League and the Sesame Cup of Bulgaria to be brave and follow the BFU protocol in the event of racial and ethnic attacks. A "hear no evil, see no evil" attitude is incompatible with the morals and value system of those entrusted with the responsibility to be referees in football matches and to oversee the compliance with regulations.
We urge journalists, players, coaches, and staff in all Bulgarian clubs to stand with us in the fight against racism and hate speech.
