Ludogorets with classic success over Olimpija

Ludogorets beat Olimpija Ljubljana 3-0 in their first camp friendly game in Turkey. All three goals were before the break, thanks to Kwadwo Duah, Todor Nedelev and Bernard Tekpetey. Ludogorets was scheduled to start with the flriendly matches on January 21 against Shakhtar Donetsk, but the match was canceled due to heavy rain that flooded the field at the Mardan Stadium.

Ludogorets showed who is the classier football team right from the start and opened the score in the 12th minute. Georgi Dermendzhiev's players made a quick attack from the left, which ended with Caio Vidal's pass to Kwadwo Duah, who could not make a mistake - 1:0. Two minutes later, left-back Son shot from long range, but his right-footed shot was wide of the mark. Quite minutes followed in which a struggle took place in the center. However, the Slovenians had their first shot on target, but Sergio Padt handled Raul Porro's shot.

In the 31st minute, the Eagles scored a second goal after a beautifully executed free kick by Todor Nedelev. Three minutes later, the Ludogorets defense lost concentration and Raul Porro broke through, but his left-footed shot went wide of the left side post.

In the 44th minute, the residents of Razgrad scored a third goal. Jakub Piotrowski advanced down the right flank and crossed, Duah missed the ball which landed at Tekpetey's feet and he missed from the edge of the goal area.

In the continuation of the first part, Georgi Dermendzhiev's team was close to a fourth goal. Aslack Von Witry found Duah in a great position in the penalty area, but he sent his shot into the reach of the Olimpija keeper.

Dinis Almeida and Denny Groupper returned to play for Ludogorets at halftime. The former had not played a match since January 2023, and the Israeli - since April last year. In the 81st minute, Simon Sluga made a nice save after a treacherous foul by a player of the Slovenian champions.
