Dambrauskas: We are lucky Despodov’s knee was not shattered

The head coach of Ludogorets spoke at a press conference prior to the Lokomotiv match.

The head coach of Ludogorets spoke at a press conference prior to the Lokomotiv match.

“We value the matches we learn from the most. The previous loss showed the things we need to correct in our performance. We learn from our mistakes well. We learned our lessons and we will thrive. The match against CSKA was great”.

“I do not rely on emotions. No loss can influence me. Emotions are for our fans. We do not seek revenge because this is an entirely new match. We need to be focused and stick to our plan. We need to think straight and leave our emotions behind”.

“We had some injuries in the last match and some of the players suffered hits. I have more than 20 players I am happy with. I can only have 11 of them on the pitch, though. Our tactic is based on the competitor. Wanderson was a key player in the last match. Every coach would be happy to have him. I believe this was a positive thing to happen to him after his previous injury and the loss in his family. He will show what he is capable of”, said Dambrauskas.

The coach commented on Despodov’s condition as well. “We were worried and we are all lucky he was not injured severely. It was a similar situation to what happened to Nedyalkov. We are thankful it was not a serious injury as well. He is currently training individually and he gets better every day”.
